Rosa...what's going on?

THE PLACE OF TRANSFORMATION
Since I have returned from my surprise trip to visit Christa in Iowa things, here in Denver have started to pick up. Not that we have been bussling around, but there has been a sense that were missing something. As a cell band we had a week fellowshiping together. I was so glad for this because all of last week I knew we were not entirely open with one another. I knew that some of this was for 'show' and not from the deepness of our hearts. We got to the bottom of that by opening up and talking. We prayed for each other and really took a new step towards the heart of God. We spent one day just at Red Rocks Amphitheater. In this picture we are just playing worship songs and enjoying each other. God usually has more in store for us. We are the ones holding back.

Thanks to the obedience on our team and the pressing in of the Holy Spirit, we have begun to see that. I can admit that it is hard to just jump into this attitude of the heart especially if we are only together for 3 months. I think it is right to say that even though it is only three months....God can to a million things in our hearts. He wants to transform us. Do we want to be transformed? What is that going to take? Do we want to see what God is about to break out of ?

PAINTING UP A RAINSTORM

I have been painting. I gave a basic painting class on Saturday morning. On Sunday I stayed out in the morning sun and painted this small piece for a new friend. It seems as if many of us at the base are going though some desert times. I needed to encourage him saying he is a tree planted by streams of water with his roots nourished from the inside out. Though the rains do not fall and his limbs seem dead, the deep roots of his hearts search down farther and farther to quench those needs. Although the clouds withhold their refreshment, somehow we must still believe that they will come again. Until then, let the roots of the heart search for God-and God will be found!

CHILD CARE ADVENTURES
Every Monday morning I get the priviledge of taking care of some pretty cool kids during the staff meeting. Usually it is pretty nice outside and we can roam around the playground and the fish pond or even make some fashionable chalk drawings. Otherwise we are doing crazy things in a small room with no ventilation for those smelly situations. Once we had a musical (talent show) and the kids were improvising songs, hillarious! This Monday we were outside in the warm Colorado air! I want to introduce a few of these child care tribals.

RECORDING

We continue to record our School of Worship CD. This is Chris Bartels laying down vocal tracks on his song 'All for You'. We drove to Golden, Colorado in a huge pimpin' Chevy van. It was what I would call posh ghetto! I recorded vocals for my song too. Of course the taco I ate prior to the recording didn't help the result. Mike, the recording producer, asked me what that gurgling was. I believe it was the taco trying to sing from my stomach!
