this week has been so busy! but it has been good. I guess when the week is incredibly stuffed with every type of activity it is no use trying to fit mine it too...but I have found a measure of success lately.
in one case I have already this week met with two classes for a half hour of exercise at the end of the day. I am leading some pilates moves and some isometric muscle training. Monday was a group of 15 girls and one boy. Then yesterday I was really shocked...the girls were in an ONLY girls meeting so I figured no one would want to have the class. To my surprise one DTS boy comes running into my office saying 'Pilates...where are we having it?' I smiled as I got my stuff ready for the class. Three DTS boys want me to lead them in muscle stretches and ab work. So funny! We worked on legs too and one guy came to me later and said, 'WOW, Erika I can feel it in my butt.' I'm telling you---YWAM Skien is about to have missionary buns of STEEL!
otherwise tonight I will lead a ballroom dance class
tomorrow is a base day where we gather and have ALL BASE activities
the weekend is saved for a YWAM Skien Reunion. It's a busy one.
but I think I get Monday off. ha.

Finland=Funland
we have returned to Norway now.
first we drove to Turku, Finland and then took a 11 hour boat across the Gulf of Bothnia which is between Sweden and Finland (an arm of the Baltic Sea) to Stockholm, Sweden.
it really was a fun land. i guess you can imagine.
in all honesty I can say that being away from the base was the best decision I could make. i felt so refreshed to meet the people there.
sometimes there are times that I am not myself. but on this trip i challenged myself to be just as I was and let down some guards. i was definitely refreshed by trusting God in this way.
i will say more later....while I add some photos.
ken and linda helser are here this week. it's a heartfelt love that i can enjoy now.
they are like a mom and dad for me---one that I met when I was in some hard times. it has been good already.
ragnhild and I made a snow-mama for Helina when she came home. She was wearing a scarf on her mis-shaped head and had candy lips and licorice eyes. i wonder how long it will last. we have some strange neighbors who might have a good time taking thier strangeness out on that snow mama.
i just heard that my boyfriend Will and his traveling mobile team had a trailer filled with instruments and it was broken into last night. All the instruments were stolen. There are some instruments to be used in the next couple of gigs....but what a challenge. God has been keeping them encouraged and will provide all along the way. Please pray for them as they are keeping on the road there in Chattanooga, TN.

i am turning 26 in Finland in about 10 minutes from now. So all I have to say is, yeah.

Christa and I had a great time in Germany and yet there was so many times we wondered how we were going to make it home.....back to reality with a small black forest tree in our bag. it is a wonder we made it back to Norway.
If you ever think about going to the Black Forest...the south of Germany, do it. But keep in mind that Ryan Air tries to make you travel at the most ridiculous times of the day. Make sure you have a game plan. Or you will suffer. But only those who suffer for righteousness will see the victory.
